Step Ahead offers the expertise of certified HERS raters to calculate HERS scores for new construction projects (and some existing buildings) seeking compliance with Energy Star or local green building programs and codes. The rating process is comprehensive; it includes a from-plans rating, inspections during construction, and a confirmed rating (including a blower door test) to ensure your project meets the requirements of the selected program.  RemRate software is used to calculate the rating, and the rating is quality-assured through EnergyLogic, Step Ahead’s service provider.  

HERS RATINGS FEES: 

• From-plans analysis and rating:
  $300(up to 3,000 sq. ft.), plus $50 for every 1,000 additional square feet (prorated).
• Inspections:
  $100
• Confirmed Rating (on-site blower door and duct blaster, if needed):
  $200-$500
